- One of the hardest VPS impression materials.
- Extremely high fracture resistance
- Fruit colors/flavors
- It does not make taking impressions difficult.
- Fast freezing time
Luxabite's exceptional sustainability
Take impressions with the highest stiffness.
Besides being an easy-to-use impression material, accurate and detailed impression taking is fundamental to the fabrication of a well-fitting and precise restoration. LuxaBite 's superior durability in accurate impression taking allows dentists to perform restoration work easily without the need for adjustments.
Luxabite, harder, even harder!
Its rheological properties help limit material leakage into the gingival sulcus, while its extremely high stiffness (Shore D-69 or Barcol 25) minimizes deformation during positioning, making impression taking smooth and easy. Furthermore, thanks to Luxabite 's stability, technicians can easily remove excess material with a dental scalpel before positioning it on the model.
The implant impression was taken perfectly.
After taking the impression, the impression material is transferred to the lab and needs to be durable and resistant to deformation and twisting, allowing technicians to perform their work accurately. Luxabite's excellent hardness combined with its user-friendliness contributes significantly to successful impression taking.
O-Bite Occlusal Impression Rubber
O-Bite self-mixing VPS occlusal rubber has a Shore A 93 hardness. It ensures dentists can obtain excellent, detailed occlusion measurements without causing bruising. Another advantage of this rubber is that it is developed based on Vinyl-Silicone, resulting in a seamless structure with high durability, resistance to breakage, and excellent final hardness. O-Bite is cut to size using surgical knives or silicone cutters.
This material boasts many superior properties, including a patient-friendly orange color and fruity scent. Rated 4.5 stars by The Dental Advisor, O-Bite occlusal impression rubber is a top choice in dental clinics worldwide.
Outstanding features of O-Bite
- Extremely high hardness after freezing.
The hardness of O-Bite after hardening is 93.3, the hardest among VPS impression materials. O-Bite provides highly accurate bite impressions on the articulator, ensuring the fabrication of perfect prosthetics for patients. Softer rubbers lead to inaccurate impressions on the articulator, resulting in wasted time and effort in prosthetic fabrication. Worse still, it can lead to misaligned prosthetics, significantly impacting chewing ability after restoration.
Inject O-bite directly onto the patient's teeth (occlusal surface).

A clever invention from DMG: “Rheologically Active Matrix”
This technology allows the material to be highly flexible yet stable depending on the impression taking situation.
The stability exceeded expectations.
Under low pressure, Honigum-light impression rubber exhibits higher viscosity than its competitors. This allows it to remain stable in the impression area without leaking or dripping. Under high pressure (when the impression tray is placed in the patient's mouth), the viscosity of Honigum Light changes, allowing the silicone to flow into narrow crevices, resulting in highly detailed and accurate impressions.

Today, LuxaPost fiberglass posts are available in two packaging options: 5-post kits and 10-post kits – offering both convenience and cost savings for dentists. These fiberglass-reinforced composite posts provide absolute flexural strength, just like natural dentin.
The outstanding advantages of LuxaPost
Just like natural tooth structure : With LuxaCore Z, the material properties of LuxaPost are also based on real teeth. LuxaPost's absolute flexural value is low, equivalent to natural dentin. This property aims to minimize the pressure exerted on the root canal after post placement and reduce the risk of root fracture. High translucency prevents the post from shining through the tooth tissue. Therefore, maximum aesthetics are ensured without any obstacles.
Pre-silanized and radiopaque: The new generation of LuxaPost fiberglass posts is radiopaque and pre-silanized. This fully meets the practical needs of dentists, simplifying procedures and reducing treatment costs. Additional silane is no longer necessary. For dentists who still wish to add silane before treatment, DMG still provides a silane system if needed.
LuxaCore Z - Composite for core reconstruction and pin fixation
Advantage:
- Material that resembles real tooth enamel.
- Very high compressive strength
- Adding Zirconia filler helps increase load-bearing capacity.
- Excellent flow properties
- Reliable coincidence
- Materials used for both core formation and post placement.
- Maximize bending strength when combined with LuxaPost.
Like real ivory, it allows for precise preparation.
Bone marrow reconstruction composite LuxaCore Z is a premium composite from DMG. The material used in abutment preparation and post placement offers a cutting capability similar to natural dentin. This ensures controlled material removal, precise margin preparation, and optimal control by the dentist using the abutment. At the transition points from dentin to the LuxaCore Z area, it is difficult to distinguish the difference. This material allows for preparation without the need for grooving or undercutting. This ideal condition enables dental technicians to perform their work with precision. The result: Excellent fit, long-lasting restoration, and the best possible care for your patient. The combined products offered ensure the best quality of treatment: LuxaPost – a composite post and LuxaBond-Total Etch – a bonding system – will be invaluable assistants to dentists in restorative cases.
The outstanding value of LuxaCore Z
LuxaCore Z offers the most natural-looking restoration, closely resembling real teeth and dentin, compared to its competitors. Furthermore, the addition of zirconia fillers provides excellent compressive strength. This ensures top-quality restoration and a natural appearance. (See chart on the right)
Excellent flow properties
The material's excellent flow properties ensure maximum adaptability, especially in the wall shape of deep cavities and post placement areas. When used in post placement, it is advantageous to use a material with a thin film thickness of only 20 μm, such as Luxacore Z! (the ISO 4049 standard limit for cement-based bonding materials is 25 μm).
Using fewer materials means a more reliable solution.
Monolithic = Stable
The more rushed the process, the slower it becomes. A single material is sufficient for both the crown preparation and post placement. This reduces time pressure, simplifies the work, and creates a reliable restoration. LuxaCore Z crown restoration material can be used with any pre-silanized post. However, DMG's LuxaPost is recommended for best results. This fiberglass post has the same absolute flexural value as LuxaCore Z and natural dentin. Using a small amount of the appropriate material for a single unit ensures high stability. Compressive stresses can be avoided in a sensitive system of tooth, post, bonding material, and crown preparation.
LuxaBond - Total Etch
Silane ensures good adhesion between the pin and the cement.
After the Silane post is secured and the root canal is prepared with LuxaBondTotal Etch, Luxa-Core Z-Dual dual-curing cement will be used to bond the fiber post to the root canal. Then, the tooth preparation will be completed with the help of LuxaCore Z-Dual.
User manual
It will be cleaned and glued. I used DMG's Silane, which consists of two components and will be mixed in equal proportions just before use. After a working time of 1 minute, the excess will be blown away and the prepared dowel will be set aside.Prior to this, the tooth cavity (enamel and dentin) was treated with DMG etching gel, which could be safely delivered to the bottom of the root canal with an integrated endodontic syringe. Water was used after 60 seconds of phosphoric acid treatment on the enamel or 15 seconds on the dentin. I used a disposable syringe in water with an Endo-Luer endodontic syringe.
The root canal will now be dried using a paper cone, and the PreBond bipolymer from the LuxaBond-Total Etch system will be applied around the root canal surface with an Endobrush for 15 seconds. Excess material can be removed or will be extracted from the canal using a tissue tip.
One drop of each bond A and B will be mixed and applied to the root canal wall using an Endobrush for 20 seconds. Note that the curing time of the polymerized cement may be shortened by the activation of the Prebond active ingredient, as the post cannot be inserted or is not deep enough in this case. Excess material will be removed or absorbed by the paper tips to avoid larger residues.Video introducing PermaCem 2.0 cement.
